Alaris may be telling the truth about not being able to get through the door

Bloom drug. Also called spark.

A woman in her late 20s knocked at the door and was pulled in. She was a servant

We convinced her it was a game

  • We found valarium bloom (roughly three portions worth)
    • Magical impact of long rest but we get substantial withdrawal
  • 2 unidentified potions

We were taken out into the hallway - opposite us there are large doors

  • There are now windows looking out - we can see out to town
  • To the north - we see woods

Ran into Molly in the servant’s kitchen. Missandra told her we were friends of Alaris.

We pretended to be Alina and walked north along a gravel path. Then we walked west and got to an exit with 3 guards. The guards were alarmed, and we had to knock out one. Two of them were then killed by Maevis. We then were chased and ran away.

We saw three buildings as part of the manor - we saw a wing

Lira is a human woman who is in her 20s with a scar on her face

Went to Morgate Manor

  • No lanterns burn at the manor
  • As we approach the front gate - we see iron chains around the front gate that have been torn open.

Aemmavio’s god is Thuun

Mirror seemed to be cursed - Maevis opened the cloth that was over a mirror

  • Several symbols that have been etched into the walls

Thalina got a nat 20

  • these are curses - dark energy is being amassed
  • This is some bad shit. Nothing good.

Defacement of the portraits seems deliberate - personal rage rather than vandalism

Thurlgood and Fiadh try to slip into a different portion of the manor. Arrive into a bedroom (though doesn’t seem to be a master bedroom). Bedsheets have been torn. Feces in the corner.

Up on the wall - map of the city in blood. Points are marked on it.

Young woman’s bedroom turned into a shrine - every mirror is veiled with red silk. “He will see me. He will forgive me.”

Thalina determined the mirrors are clearly part of a summoning ritual. Drawing upon a deep primal ritual magic. This is drawing from energies being released in the house.

The mirror showed Fiadh as a 6 year old girl

Thurlgood saw his eyes as pure white

Aemmavio broke the mirror

Letter is addressed to sisters - first written in a stable calm hand - why she needed to tread her own path. Why being part of the Valebound was a great honor. Hand gets shakier as it goes - as the letter continues

Hadn’t heard of the Valebound term before

Master bedroom - mattress gutted. Broken silver mirror lies among the sheets. Handheld mirror

There are two bodies on the bed - clearly tortured. Slashes on their arm. Eyes gouged out. Dressed in fine clothes. Might be the owners of the house.

One is Daneous.

Thurlgood’s knife wound is bad.

  • Thurlgood keeps the knives

Exposed beams wrapped in twine - something darker soaked into the room. Chalk circles. Largest sigil is cracked through.

Something was called and answered. Scattered notes lying around. Fiadh heads toward the notes. Thick viscous liquid starts coming down from the ceiling, the walls, etc

  • Follow ups:
    • Go look at the map in the first room that Thurlgood and Fiadh were in
    • Interrogate weirdos in the room
  • Josh has bardic inspiration
  • Heroic inspiration: Fiadh and Thurlgood
